Some Things Are Not Common
註釋"Some Things Are Not Common" explores selected Biblical practices and truths that we can take for granted in the church such as tithing and the power behind God's names. It compels us to take another look and challenges us to really consider if we are going through rituals or if we really know who we are as His children. The book focuses on identifying things God considers Holy or Uncommon and men sometimes treat as ordinary. The inspiration of this book came from a message preached from Peter's experience with the sheet of animals let down from heaven by God. He was instructed to eat these animals but some he considered "unclean". He refused to obey and God told him that the things He cleansed were not unclean. God's purpose was to confront Peter's prejudice toward gentiles. Through this experience Peter was used to open the gentile nations to the message of the gospel. This book seeks to challenge the reader to expand his evaluation of God, Jesus Christ, God's Word, people, the tithe and six other things. While not exhaustive, this book seeks to stimulate a desire to carefully examine one's value system and adjust it to God's standard.
