The current edition has been proofread, typeset for eBook readers, and slightly updated for modern readers. About the author: William Swan Plumer (1802-1880) was an American elder, preacher, theologian, and author renowned in the Presbyterian Church. Plumer wrote over 30 books, including commentaries on Romans, Hebrews, and Psalms, as well as numerous tracts and pamphlets. He became a professor at Western Theological Seminary and Columbia Theological Seminary. Plumer died on October 22, 1880.
