A System for Recording and Analyzing Macroinvertebrate Behaviour in Laboratory Stream Channels
註釋Described is a laboratory system for the recording and analysis of the microdistribution, locomotor activity, and drift behaviour of stream-dwelling macroinvertebrates under visible and infrared lighting. A photographic apparatus automatically takes black and white, infrared photographs of test animals, housed in two identical, recirculating stream channels, at regular intervals. The X-V position coordinates of the head and abdomen of each animal are determined from the photographic negatives using a digitizer interfaced with a microcomputer. From these coordinates a computer program calculates the behavioural parameters of interest.
