Crankshaft Torsional Vibration Control Using Bifilar Rotating Pendulum Absorbers
註釋Higher power reciprocating aircraft engines manufactured today often include multiple bifilar rotating pendulum absorbers to control crankshaft torsional vibration. The performance of these devices was compared and contrasted to the classic dynamic vibration absorber (sometimes referred to as a harmonic balancer by the automotive industry) found in most engineering textbooks. The equations of motion for both types of vibration absorbers were developed, and then validated using several computer models. An engine test was also conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the bifilar rotating pendulum vibration absorber, and how altering the stiffness and inertia of the system affects the crankshaft torsional response.
