The project provides a methodology for quantifying current and future rehabilitation efforts. Assessment of the rehabilitation programme focuses on two interrelated components. Firstly, determination of the physical and chemical characteristics of the overburden material, and secondly the influence the overburden material has on permanent pasture yields.
