註釋For more than 75 years, Major League Baseball radio announcers have carved a place in America's heart by forming a bond between the listeners, themselves and the teams they represent. Between 1973 and 1998, Kansas City Royals listeners invited Denny Matthews and Fred White into their homes. During the 1998 season, which marked their 25th and final season together, they were the longest-running broadcast duo in the American League and tied for the second-longest in all of baseball.
