Field notes Vol. 669 documents Michael Nee's botanical collecting in 1978 in Wisconsin. During this time period Nee was living in Wisconsin, where he received his Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1979. The notebook contains a list of specimen numbers 14800-16200, collected May 14-June 6, 1978. The list contains collection location and date, herbarium distribution of specimens, many entries have very detailed descriptions of plant and habitat, and many have herbarium determination. There are several hand-drawn maps and photocopied maps glued to the pages. There are also some diary entries about the collecting trips. This is Collection Book 14 in Nee's numbering. The original field notebooks for these specimens are located in Field notes Vol. 654.
