This is a clear and succinct overview of the international negotiations in the critical period 1976-78, as well as a well-documented analysis of the "elections" held in Namibia in December 1978. The latter part draws on the same author's report on the intimidation employed by the South African administration in the registration of voters before the election campaign, a report which was published by the Cristian Centre and led to the expulsion of the author. The second half of the booklet consists of UN documents and some background data on the Namibian economy. (Eriksen/Moorsom 1989).
