A Petrological Analysis of Kettle Point Chert and Its Spatial and Temporal Distribution in Regional Prehistory
註釋Kettle Point is a small point of land located at the tip of Cape Ipperwash, extending north from Ipperwash Beach into Lake Huron in Lambton County, Ontario. This study of Kettle Point chert, which outcrops on the southeastern shore of Lake Huron, includes petrological analysis and an examination of the spatial and temporal distribution in regional prehistory. The study used macroscopic, thin section, neutron activation analysis, and isotopic composition analysis, with the last-named providing the most definitive results.
