註釋Extract: The overall objective of this investigation is to examine the potential cost structures of dairying in Chino, emphasizing a total systems approach, consistent with basin wide environmental quality objectives and controls. the specific objectives of this study are: 1. to specify and evaluate alternative dairy waste management technologies, including large scale regional methods, that can satisfy environmental quality objectives in the Chino Basin. 2. to identify alternative dairy production technologies from a detailed analysis of elemental production specifications and restrictions. 3. to develop cost volume relationships for large scale, specialized milk production enterprises, including waste management. 4. to evaluate the impact on the dairy production system of managing wastes in compliance with the environmental quality objectives. 5. to ascertain the analytical importance of integrating waste management with the dairy production system, i.e., to evaluate the importance of a systems approach to waste management.
