Rights Have No Borders
註釋This volume contains a collection of papers which explore issues relating to internally displaced people worldwide These papers were presented at an international conference convened by the Norwegian Refugee Council and the Global IDP Survey. They underline the magnitude of problems related to internal displacement and deal with a range of factors, legal, political and socioeconomic, which contribute to the complexities of the current situation. The concept of human rights as universal is studied in its more realistic practice where the infringement of human rights is all too often directly connected with geopolitical or economic borders. In addition to identifying problems specific to internally displaced people, the introduction to the volume indicates some of the institutional activities to be undertaken in the coming years to strengthen protection and advocacy work on behalf of internally displaced people.
