Continuous Desalting of Glucose by Using a Simulated Moving-bed Adsorber
註釋Two kinds of Mathematical models are proposed to calculate the concentration profiles in a simulated moving-bed adsorber in which the adsorption isotherm of a component is represented by the Langmuir equation. One is an intermittent moving-bed model and another is a continuous moving-bed model. An unsteady state concentration profiles in the adsorber can be expressed by the former model. On the other hand, the adsorbent particles are hypothesized to move continuously in the latter model and a steady state concentration profiles in the adsorber are predicted using a finite difference method combined with the quasilinearization technique.
