註釋This small collection of business letters and receipts includes three letters written by Washburn while a law partner with John Davis (1787-1854) in Worcester. There is an 1865 circular letter written by Washburn and Rev. Seth Sweetser (1807-1878) announcing an anonymous gift for the establishment of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and soliciting additional funds and land. There is also a catalog of books in Washburn's library (72 p., 54 blank). The volume is undated but the latest date cited for an edition of a book is 1832.
