註釋
As the area of law and psychology continues to develop and expand, it becomes ever more difficult to offer a simple answer to the question, "What is psychology and law?" Law and Psychology: The Broadening of the Discipline, offers a picture of some of the traditional and innovative areas of research and scholarly thinking that fall within law and psychology. The book is broken into five general areas of law and psychology: Children and the Law; Criminal Responsibility; Mental Health Policy; Jury Instructions and Jury Decisionmaking; and Civil Law and Psychology. Law and psychology is beginning to be recognized as a valuable subspecialty of both psychology and law. The chapters in this book will serve both as examples of the kind of work psycho-legal scholars perform and as sources of information from which future work will flow. Because of its breadth and depth, the information presented should be of use to both psycho-legal scholars and students who wish to gain a better understanding of some traditional and developing areas of law and psychology.
