註釋"In June 2021, Ebrahim Raisi was handpicked by the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, for his new position as the president of the Iranian regime. Despite the negative record of all previous presidents of the Islamic Republic, Raisi's election is unique in that he is widely known to have been involved in the massacre of thousands of political prisoners in Iran. In the summer of 1988, some 30,000 innocent men, women, and children were executed in a matter of weeks. The whole crime was done in secrecy, and anyone who attempted to dig up information was silenced and dealt with decisively. Iran's new president, Ebrahim Raisi, was responsible for these egregious human rights violations and has continued his role as Iran's henchman to this day, including with the killing of 1,500 Iranian protesters in November 2019. This manuscript makes the case for bringing Raisi to justice before an international tribunal for crimes against humanity. As presented in this book, evidence of Raisi's key role in the 1988 massacre is overwhelming, as confirmed by seven special rapporteurs of the United Nations, as well as Amnesty International. The calls to bring Raisi to justice come from the victims' relatives in Iran to the general Iranian population, from the UN to human rights organizations, and from the U.S. Congress to European heads of state and prominent parliamentarians around the globe"--
