註釋The poem, "Tomas off Ersseldoune" with its prophecies relating to the future of Scotland. The editor places its completion about 1401, or one hundred years after the death of Thomas. It is difficult to say whether it even claims to be his work. Portions of it may be earlier than 1400, and may be based on an older tale composed by Thomas himself.
