註釋The characterization of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) is undergoing a paradigm shift as the century-old concept of a passive, impermeable barrier that segregates blood and brain interstitial fluid is giving way to the idea that the BBB is a dynamic conduit for the transport between blood and brain of those nutrients, peptides, proteins, or immune cells that have access to certain transport systems localized within the BBB membranes.
