Scroll and Curl
註釋SCROLLANDCURL is a twisted music-world mystery, and a first novel, by John Pedersen of Marin. THE PLOT -- When the old time string band Sweet Evening Breeze leaves Saratoga Springs, New York on their two week tour of the east coast, fiddler Dan Munroe thinks that his only headache will be controlling his band-mates tendencies for excess. That is until he buys a unique fiddle at a sidewalk sale in New York and hears the story of the previous owners entanglement with the underworld of the 1930's. After he gets the special fiddle appraised by a reclusive dealer in Pennsylvania, dangerous and mysterious forces curl and swirl through his life suddenly. -- The novel is a chance to hang out in the mind of the man who is a champion fiddler and instrument maker, to chill in the heat of an intensely musical life. Scroll and curl, of course, refer to the aspects of a violin. Scroll and curl are plot dimensions also, and relate to the life style of the characters presented.
