Uncertainty of Optical Measurement for High Pressure Compressor Airfoils
註釋The study of compressor blades is very interesting in quality control and inspection checks. The performance of the engine is meaningful affected by the compressor, where the blades are deteriorated due to entry of different components into the engine. The new optical measurement system is capable of measuring a lot of points of the blade surface, providing reliable information in order to study the blade. The purpose of this research is to identify the combined uncertainty of the optical measurement system for different parameters of compressor blades in order to know if the measurement system is precise to study the blade for future degradation effects. This measurement system is affected by one or more identifiable sources. Each source of deviation are due to random effects. The evaluation of the uncertainty for each source of deviation has been performed. The first phase of the project is an implementation of a program, which converts triangulated points generated by the measurement system into key-ratios or parameters of the blade. The evaluation of these parameters instead of analyzing the coordinate points of the measurement, simplify the estimation of the uncertainty. The final phase is based on a performed plan in order to estimate the uncertainty of each source of deviation for different parameters and the combined uncertainty for each parameter. This will allow to know how each component affects the parameters and to confirm if the combined uncertainty is under the limits given by the specifications of the company.
