This book discusses the psychophysiology, psychopharmacology, psychopathology, as well as the psychological treatments of anxiety. Organized into nine chapters, this book begins with an overview of the emotional state and the subjective bodily discomfort that occurs during anxiety. This text then examines the two aspects of normal anxiety that bears a complex relationship to behavioral performance. Other chapters consider the type of anxiety that is beyond the normal response to stress and handicaps.
