註釋Tom Kincaid was born ca. 1795, the son of Samuel Kincaid of Greenbrier County Virginia. He left a wife and probably twelve children when he and Lucinda Claypool (b. 1816) left Fayette County, Virginia and settled in Lewis County, Virginia (now West Virginia) in the 1840's. They had four children, 1850-186-. Descendants lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
