註釋The research of the influence of moisture on the fracture characteristics of polymers with an emphasis on the comparison with influence of temperature is presented in the Master Thesis. Of the main interest has been the influence on the following parameters that indicate the ductile-brittle transition under the impact loading: indicated total work to fracture, indicated elongation at fracture and indicated maximal force during the test. Test specimens made of a particular polyamide (PA-6.6) have been tested in the as delivered and in the different moistened states. The results confirm the analogy between the influence of moisture and the influence of temperature in the case of large deformations and dynamic loading, including the ductile-brittle transition. This indirectly confirms correctness of the free volume theory.
