註釋
After Miami Beach High School, Eleanor attended the College of William and Mary and University of Pennsylvania, earning her B.S. degree. Having been born again, she prepared for missionary service at Providence Bible Institute. God led her to Ethiopia. After four years, illness brought her home. She took nurse's training in Orlando, FL, working in Med/Surg nursing, serving as Head Nurse and Supervisor for nine years. She received her M.S.N. and Ed.D. at Boston University and was Education Director for the College of Nursing . Later she became Director of the International Nursing Program at Emory University. The Lord led her to found The Organization of Continuing Education for American Nurses (OCEAN, Inc.) to teach American-speaking nurses in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She also taught International Nursing during Short Quarters at Columbia International University, Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College. She is author of INCREDIBLE THROUGH INSIGNIFICANCE. The author was born in a non-Christian home, raised by a loving mother but an intolerable father, and was raped at 17 (her son died 10 days after birth). Her life was filled with people and things, but they were only temporary. She found Christ a few months later, and learned nothing happens apart from God's permission. His love alleviates hurts, heals wounds, and forgives sins. It brings a lost father to Christ at age 70. God takes the ashes and weakness, gives joy, and leads a teenager to serve Him. THE DESPERATE SEARCH traces that journey, You will, undoubtedly, see yourself in many of its pages, and at the end, Christ will stand before you with open arms, embracing you and giving you abundant life. This book will bring hope to troubled teenagers, reveal complete reality, and assure readers of the love of God in Christ Jesus.
