Social Security Systems unvalances are the main component of Brazil?s public sector deficit. This paper describes a simulation model for the expenditures and revenues of the (federal) public servants? social security system. Besides giving scenarios of future economic performance of the current system, the model allows for evaluation of alternative reform proposals.
