註釋Abstract: "This paper reports on initial research efforts on a new methodology, called Rapid Systems Modelling, for analysis and design of computer applications. The rationale and the principles underlying the methodology is presented and discussed. The methodology is outlined by its main activities and their contents. Rapid Systems Modelling combines a set of well-known and widely appreciated principles into one coherent framework. Basically, it guides the actors in undertaking cooperative learning by developing and debating alternative perceptions, problems and solutions based on different kinds of models. Techniques are provided for modelling based on object-oriented thinking in combination with prototyping. The modelling process is controlled through management of risks. Rapid Systems Modelling utilises the professional competence of the actors and emphasises the systematic and creative nature of analysis and design. It is systematic in providing guidance for the actors to gain insight into the organisational setting and the problematic situation in a broad sense. It is creative in providing guidance for the actors to arrive at quality computer applications."
