The Persistent Classroom
註釋David Powell notes that the rapid rise of new technology has resulted in the creation of "virtual learning spaces." He makes the case that the traditional classroom for executives must be redefined to suit the changing world. Executive education classrooms have mirrored the traditional schoolroom set-up, but it can prove difficult for executive learners to apply what they have learned to workplace issues. Instead, experiential learning serves as a more effective form of education. Digital classrooms that exist wherever the student is located can assist in the learning-as-becoming process. This idea is embodied by CCL's "Persistent Classroom," which aims to create virtual learning spaces for its users to engage in the Leadership Development Program. Even after leaving a program on a CCL campus, participants can still use the LeaderConnect app to access CCL resources and social networks. Merging physical and virtual classrooms will result in deeper user engagement and allow for greater research data collection. In this way, the Persistent Classroom aims to keep pace with the future of the digital self.
