註釋This report highlights the value of inter-parliamentary cooperation as one of the least expensive and potentially most effective ways for legislatures to address the challenges posed by the Information Society through the enhanced use of ICT. The Report also emphasizes cooperation at the regional level, which offers unique opportunities to share resources, overcome lack of know-how and establish common approaches. The progress made by newly established regional networks in Africa, Asia and Latin America, coupled with the activities of those already in existence at the global, regional and sub-regional levels, are concrete signs of the benefits of ongoing cooperation.
