Autograph letter signed from Leopold Mozart, Milan, to Anna Maria Mozart, Salzburg
註釋Letter from Leopold Mozart, father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to his wife Anna Maria Mozart, describing the preparations for W. A. Mozart's opera Mitridate, rè di Ponto (K. 87/74), which was premiered in Milan at the Regio Ducal Teatro on 26 December 1770. The letter also contains a postscript that has a description of the suit that Mozart would wear when the opera was premiered, as the suit originally brought from Salzburg was now too small. Another postscript, in the hand of W. A. Mozart, includes an incipit of the overture to the 1st version of the opera Demofoonte by Josef Mysliveček, E. 10:C4 (premiered in Venice in the Teatro San Benedetto on 17 January 1769), with Mozart inquiring of his sister Nannerl if she has the overture in Salzburg, and if not, that they will bring it with them when they return to Salzburg.
