From exile, a guardian Golem of steel is summoned back into battle! Enticed by the promise of a place amongst men, the Golem heeds the call of the newly ascended Emperor in his campaign to destroy the very Resistance who created and abandoned him. THIS ISSUE: With the Golem in their ranks, the Imperial Brigade led by General Lanford has broken the stalemate at the Fields of Galion and has advanced into Resistance territory. But in the occupied town of Windlot, the Golem encounters a glimpse of humanity that he had long since forgotten; a blind herb seller Claire, willing to befriend him after he saves her from a group of oppressive Imperial soldiers. With wavering convictions, the Golem rides out into battle again, but this time toward the Resistance stronghold of Varanos, where Helsing the Demon Hunter lies in wait for him.
