註釋The Belgian artist Ives Maes started his Recyclable Refugee Camp project in an ironic attempt to make 100% ethic correct art. By this statement Maes refers to a tradition of the ethical obligation that art should have a social relevance. The result is a Gesamtkunstwerk of recyclable living units existing of organic structures such as hideaways, latrines and water sources built according to the rules of the UN Refugee Agency. Maes questions the touristic view in which we look at the world, the voyeuristic impulse of the human being and the documenting role the art world tries to fulfil.
