Mussolini's Redemption
註釋Joseph San Giamino came from an environmentally bleak 2194 back in time to 1910 with the intention of changing Italy's fortunes in World War 2 from his spacetime. With knowledge of where and when to invest he amassed a fortune. He in turn reinvested that wealth into Italy, changing its industrial infrastructure and capabilities and also many aspects of Italian culture. The aliens who sent San Giamino back in time were survivors of a genocidal interstellar war. The Thalians, who had conducted colonization-through-DNA-manipulation efforts on Earth, had their federation wiped out by the Klang. The final battle with the Klang took place near Earth and their carbon weapon further damaged an already weakened planetary ecology.Averting climate disaster and perhaps stopping the attack by the Klang was the principal reason for the time jump. Carrying a database with tens of thousands of designs of green and military technology, San Giamino would shepherd Italy through some of the most trying years in Earth's human history. It was no small task, changing Italy. But to do that San Giamino had to deal with Mussolini. Shepherding Italy meant shepherding Mussolini. Surprisingly, a deal Mussolini struck with San Giamino almost held; no war until 1940 or until the time demanded it.That time was now..."Mussolini's Redemption - Book 2 Mare Nostrum" tells the story of how a time traveler with a database full of designs for weapons, electronics, and green tech changes Italian culture, commerce, and industry. And changes world history in the process.
