La pittura parietale romana come fonte di conoscenza per la scultura antica
註釋This book discusses the sculptural representations in Roman wallpainting, in particular at Pompeii and Herculaneum, and investigates the information they provide for the knowledge of classical sculpture. The interior decoration of ancient buildings is also discussed, together with the layout of ancient gardens insofar as these can be reconstructed on the basis of paintings. Frequent reference is made to three-dimensional monuments.
