The first detailed survey of soil erosion on a county basis in Iowa was made in Tama County in 1937 by the Soil Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Iowa Agricultural Experiment Station and the Division of Soil Survey, Bureau of Plant Industry. The results of this soil conservation survey are given in this publication.
