註釋Before World War II began, George Foster Dennis was an editor for the Hightstown Gazette, a newspaper owned by his family. After completing basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama, Foster became the regimental correspondent for his unit, the 108th Infantry Regiment, and published articles in Stars and Stripes and the 45th Division News. This collection contains letters on his life in the military that he wrote for publication in the Hightstown Gazette.
