Wild Workshop
註釋Wild Workshop is a collection of three long poems, all by women, two American and one British. The poems are Anne Carson's 'The Glass Essay', Kay Adshead's 'The Slug Sabbatical' and Bridget Meeds's 'The Light'. Each poem deals, in its distinctive way, with the aftermath of an unsatisfactory love affair: Carson's through a meditation on Emily Bronte and on her own relations with her mother; Adshead's by means of grotesque comic exaggeration; Meeds's in a deadpan account of the life of an American student working in a Belfast pizza kitchen. What all three have in common is a shared sense of the long poem as a current, vital and evolving form.
