註釋The guidelines describe generally acceptable farming practices and apply to all beef cattle operations in British Columbia, including current legislation at the local, provincial and federal levels; the impacts of pollutants on air, soil and water; the management of grazing, seasonal feed and confined livestock areas; the provision of water through livestock waterers or natural sources; feed handling, storage and processing; structures for housing and handling beef cattle; manure handling, storage and composting; and dead animal disposal. Environmental programs of the B.C. Federation of Agriculture and the provincial government are also described.
