Preventing the Abuse of Older People by Their Family Members

Most abuse is perpetrated by close family members, and the literature highlights the issue of power and control. The second section considers approaches and principles in the prevention of abuse, including the victim advocacy approach, the public health model, the restorative justice model, and the domestic violence prevention model.
