He reasons that if he can prove that folks can do without their most basic gadgets, their watches, then they can do without the latest smart-phone and its kin. In each chapter, he finds himself in another location as he moves closer to his goal. But unlike the Lupine Lady, this tale has a bitter-sweet ending...
