Mononuclear Disubstituted Ferrocene Derivatives with N-, S-, Se-, B-, Si-Containing Substituents
註釋Organometallic compounds have been attracting a great deal of attention. They have a practical importance, and the work on these compounds has raised and answered significant theoretical questions. A few years ago the Gmelin-Institute initiated three series on organoiron compounds. Series A describes ferrocene and its derivatives, Series B describes the mononuclear compounds, and Series C describes the compounds with two or more iron atoms per molecule. Some volumes have been published in each of these series and further volumes are on the way. This volume continues the description of unbridged disubstituted ferrocenes, FeC10H8R1R2, by treating compounds in which at least R1 contains N, S, Se, B, or Si. The description of the unbridged disubstituted ferrocenes was initiated with in "Eisen-Organische Verbindungen A, Ferrocene 7 (starting with R1 and R2 containing C and H, and at least R1 containing halogen and continuing with compounds containing at least O and R1 to form alcohols and phenols, their esters, ethers, acetals, and aldehydes), and was followed by "Organoiron Compounds" A, Ferrocene 8 (with at least R1 containing O). Ferrocene 8 contains the formula index for the compounds covered in the volumes Ferrocene 7 and 8. "Organoiron Compounds" A, Ferrocene 9 systematically covers the literature through the end of 1986 and even includes some references published more recently. A formula index provides ready access to the compounds covered. Series A so far comprises volumes A 1 to A 9, and it has been surveyed in the preface to A 7 (1980).
