Pogrom żydów w Kielcach 4 lipca 1946
註釋This study is based on archival material and interviews with witnesses. In light of the political situation in Kielce in 1945-July 1946, reconstructs the events leading to the pogrom on 4 July 1946 (e.g. the disappearance of a 9-year-old Polish boy on 1 July 1946 and the spread of the accusation that he was abducted by the Jews), and the pogrom itself, in which militiamen and soldiers took part. Surveys events in the town after the pogrom and the consecutive trials of the accused participants, which took place between July-December 1946. Deals also with the reactions of political parties, Church authorities, and emigre circles. Quotes from their statements. Kersten's introduction (p. 7-23) discusses, among others, the question of the alleged provocation of the pogrom and asserts that this cannot be proved.
