Waro Kishi
註釋Considered one of his country's leading young talents, Waro Kishi is beginning to build a reputation outside of his native Japan. Kishi was educated at Kyoto University and opened his own office there in 1981. The architect is known for his elegantly detailed buildings, often small in scale, that nonetheless convey a sense of openness and light. His glass and steel compositions also incorporate more historical elements of Japanese architecture such as tatami mats and wood on the interior and as well traditional-style gardens.
