註釋
The investigation of various drainage systems on a Babington type GMK nebulizer led to the development of a simple indirect method for the measurement of transport efficiency. This method was used in an investigation into the influence on transport efficiency of the flow rates of the aerosol gas and solution, and of different strengths of acid and sodium chloride solutions. It was found that transport efficiency was related directly to the density of the solution irrespective of the type of reagent employed. The geometry of the nebulizer components, particularly the depth and angle of the V-groove at the extremity of the gas feed tube, was found to have a significant effect on the production of the aerosol.
