The Bubble Flight
註釋Dr. Donald R. Stoltz was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Central High School, Temple University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He had a practice of family medicine for 35 years beginning in 1962 and in 1998 turned the office over to his son, Dr. Brad Stoltz. Early in his career he began writing and illustrating childrenas books on medical subjects and this led him to meeting Norman Rockwell. With his brother Marshall he created the Curtis Center Museum of Norman Rockwell Art in historic Philadelphia and he authored several books on Rockwell and other American illustrators and wrote dozens of magazine articles. He began to lecture nationwide on the illustrators of The Saturday Evening Post magazine as well as collect many of their original paintings. He has also written many other childrenas books, poetry books, a teenage novel and a play entitled The Waiting Room. He presently resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Phyllis, where he enjoys painting, writing, traveling, gardening and playing with his six grandchildren. Al Wiesner was born and educated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his art education at the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the Fleischer Memorial College. He attended Dobbins Vocational School for a post-graduate commercial art course. He also studied fine arts at Hobart College in New York State and took an oil painting course at the University of Louisville. For the next fifty-five years he practiced drawing and painting. For four years he was in the United States Air Force where he painted murals. He also created Israeli superhero aShalomana and produced 38 comic books during the next 20 years. At the present Al drawscaricatures at weddings, parties and corporate events. He also illustrates books, draws cartoons for clients and teaches drawing classes. In addition he taught a cartoon class to children at the Klein branch of the J.C.C. Philadelphia.
