This collection of papers is comprised almost entirely of correspondence from relatives of John Bush. Many of the letters were written by his mother Martha Bush ( - ) of Sterling, Mass., his brother Levi Bush, Jr. of North Brookfield, Mass., his sister Charity Pratt Bush Richardson (1789-1832) and her husband George Partridge Richardson (1785-1868) of Duxbury, Mass., Jotham Bush of Boston, Mass., and Parker Cleaveland (1780-1858) of Brunswick, Me. The correspondence deals with family matters.
