Examines whether location-specific inflexibility creates strategic advantages that may retain an internationally mobile firm. Shows theoretically that domestic anchorage exists in a country with adjustment costs when firms compete in quantities (Cournot competition) whilst they do not when firms compete in prices (Bertrand competition).
