註釋
Extract: The purpose of this study was to compare current income possibilities of sunflower in Texas with income possibilities of chief competing crops grown under limited irrigation. Results indicate that potential for sunflower is most favorable in Northern Texas High Plains, particularly under dryland conditions. In Southern Texas High Plains, per-acre returns of irrigated sunflower and irrigated cotton were nearly equal. In dryland Southern Texas High Plains, sunflower appears to be in a far less advantageous competitive position with dryland cotton, and even less favorable in Rolling Plains.
