Catalogue illustrated with full-page color plates of the exhibited collection of famous posters by graphic artist Pol (b. Barcelona, Spain, lives and works in Venezuela) chosen to represent Venezuela during the 51st edition of the Venice Art Biennale in summer of 2005 and where the "piccola Venezia" is the Italian words for Venezuela. The cartels characteristic for the one-dimensional forms and color contrasts used as communication elements represents his graphic production of the last 37 years of professional practice. The artist is internationally recognized and won in 2001 the Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas in Venezuela, received the Premio Colomba d'Oro in the Festival di Cinema in Leipzig, and had a honorable mention in the 1st. Biennial of the Poster in Warsaw.
