Experimental Study of the Effect of Length on the Buckle Pattern of Axially Compressed Circular Cylindrical Shells
註釋Ten thin-walled circular cylindrical shells were tested in axial compression to observe the effect of the length-to-radius ratio on the buckling pattern. At an approximate value of 600 of the radius to thickness ratio the number of waves around the circumference was found, in a first approximation, to very inversely with the cube root of the length-to-radius ratio.
