註釋
Mankind Origins is the story of Carl, a shy young man who is the son of a renowned linguist. Carl decides to follow in the footsteps of his father and pursue a career in research. While conducting an archeological study of some Mayan ruins he discovers a set of keys that open doors to other worlds; worlds that contain ancient civilizations, some good some bad. Despite his lack of penchant for adventure, Carl decides to explore these worlds in order to gain access to the vast stores of knowledge they may hold. He is joined on his journey by Blair, a young, intelligent and outgoing expert in ancient languages. But the duo is pursued by a retired General, who is bent on plundering these ancient worlds not for knowledge, but rather for their material wealth. As Carl and Blair make their way through this network of ancient civilizations, they encounter many dangerous situations. However they also end up discovering some very illuminating facts about the beginning of civilization on planet Earth. Brazilian author L. E. Pinto was born and raised on the outskirts of Sao Paulo. After graduating in computer science, he became a systems developer and relocated to a small town in Sao Paulo itself.
