註釋The Potamogetonaceae are acquatic herbs with submersed of floating leaves. The family comprises three genera and about 100 species of near-cosmopolitan distribution. Two genera of the family, Potamogeton and Stuckenia, are known from the Neotropics. Potamogeton, a genus of about 95 species, has 17 species known to be from the Neotropics. Stuckenia, a genus of six species, has three species known to be from the Neotropics. Keys, description, illustrations, and documented distribution maps for all species and subspecies are included.
